As a 32-year old woman, I
used to be a little disturbed by just how sexy I find young former Disney famer
Zac Efron. Not anymore. According to the New York Post,
Efron and a couple of pals, including High School Musical alum Corbin Bleu, spent last Sunday evening
at Flashdancers Gentlemen's Club on Broadway, where they blew $2,000 on vodka and lap dances.
If this report is the real
deal, then it definitely deserves a big, loud ewwww. However, as nasty as strip clubs are, learning that a young,
squeaky-clean actor has attended one is not the worst thing I’ve ever heard.
Worse things? Prostitute b-jobs (Hugh
Grant—we’ll never forget), tawdry extramarital affairs (Jesse James, Tiger Woods—I’m looking at
you), clothing partnerships with Kmart (Selena
Gomez, why?).
Rest assured, there’s a clear upside to
this story. Now that Zac has allegedly proven his willingness to objectify
women, we’re free to give it right back. Guilt free! Let the perving begin…
They spent $2000 and you don't think they got "Prostitute b-jobs"? Ok.

Actually a lot of ordinary guys do that..not just actors. Why not it's okay. But I understand it can be a bit much.
I wouldn't want to do something like that. Yuk.

Oh come on, what guy hasn't been to a strip club? It's not like he got caught with a transvestite stripper or in a men's public bath house; even those two (George Michael and Eddy Murphy) still have their careers!

So they went to a strip club like most men do... big deal? It's about time people stop making a scandal of things ordinary people do. They are famous yes but are boys and everyone does this at least once in their lives, get over it people already.

wow a woman with double standards ..go figure. I work at a bar where Ladies night see's women turn into tramps way worse than men. I think there is a prostitute hiding in every woman, just some have the courage to admit it and let it out. who really cares

If Stripclubs are so normal than why do most people think less of people who work there? If you wouldn't work there, or want someone you love to work there, than maybe those people shouldn't go. It's so hypocritical.

look princess... get a life! A guy and his pals spent some time looking at some peelers. BIG DEAL. He's a man, not the figment of your "little" mind he used to be. Go find something important to whine about.

in Barrie Ontario we have one less than two blocks from a highschool, also a "spa" less than a block from a public school, rec centre, and highschool....but our mayor won't do anything about this nonsense...don't believe in strip clubs, sorry most of the men are the local pervs....and now another one in Hollywood...what a &*^%####!!!! bleeping shock!!!!Jesse will buys drinks next time....

Zak Effron is hot, but alas...strip club visit or not. Sadly,he is still TOO YOUNG for me. Oh and just so you know...I agree wholeheartedly with what commentor "John" had to say:
"They spent $2000 and you don't think they got "Prostitute b-jobs"?...

i don't think she was whining that he went to a strip club merely pointing out that despite his clean cut apperance, he's still a red blooded man(the way we all want them to be) and since he's passing off his innocent looks to attend strip clubs guilt free, we older women don't need to worry about enjoying a glance at a younger man....

I use to work in a Strip club in Barrie Ontario. Even before I worked as a dancer, I did not think that strip clubs are a huge deal. Yes I will admit that there are some dancers who do, do extras which I think is gross. But most of the girls are clean dancers. People are just making a big deal about famous people going to strip clubs b/c they are famous. If Zac was a regular joe blow no one would care. And really strip clubs are not a big deal, just go have fun.

I think most of you have missed the point of this artical. "Now that Zac has allegedly proven his willingness to objectify women, we’re free to give it right back. Guilt free!" I for one, am very happy about that! lol.

hmmm, a girl's strip club? He must have had a lot of vodka as I am sure he's gay. He'll be on Oprah one day to explain it all...

give me a break , he's boosting the economies, the black market one ( since much $$ will likely find it's way to some dealers hands somewhere down the not so long line) , and the national one by donating his already taxed dollars to a not so worthy cause , entire economies are based on the sex trade, thankfully for him he didn't visit a legal brothel in reno , lol what (wholesome) Disney image ???

wow, why do people care so much. who cares he went to a strip club, i take my boyfriend to the strippers for a good night out every now and then. and woman being objectified, well they picked the profession maybe more people should look at the profession as being an art because it is. you have beautiful woman dancing there hearts out for a living. it's naked theater:)
Posted by: jen | 07/29/2010 at 11:25 AM
My fiance has never been to a strip club nor have I. So not ALL (ordinary)men go to those or women and frankly, why you would want to take your man there or why he would want to go there when he's got you?? I guess for some men, their wives, girlfriends, and fiances aren't enough!
Posted by: Jessie | 07/29/2010 at 11:39 AM
I wonder what his boring, going nowhere career girlfriend will think of this. Dun dun dun!
Posted by: Gingerella | 07/29/2010 at 11:57 AM
Well, if we didn't hear about him going to strip clubs, etc., we'd assume he was gay. Can't win either way so might as well let him have fun while he's young. Celebs deserve it too!

Never been to a strip club?!? That's what all men tell their wife/fiance/girlfriend.
Vanessa is has a new movie (or will be) called Sucker Punch. Looks good.

to the article writer
get over your cougar crush...all men are dogs!!

Men wanting to look at naked beautiful naked women make them perverts? No, try normal heterosexual males. Good for him he is a little to pretty anyway, now we know.

Oh my Gosh! What kind of privately puritanical country are you living in? EVERY guy at some point ends up in a strip club.
The only thing that's questionable is the lap dances because he's got a girlfriend. But really, that's only something that Vanessa Hudgens should be questioning. What business is it of ours?
Posted by: Linda | 07/29/2010 at 01:49 PM
Going to a strip club is a freaking right of passage for men, get over it! By the way, I have no issues if a girl goes and sees any chip n Dale dancers either, as long as it's not a weekly thing. This is by far the lamess news I ever read, I want my 1.34 minutes back!
Posted by: Cadyshack | 07/29/2010 at 02:06 PM
All men go to strip clubs? Hmm. Your dad went to a strip club? My dad sure as hell never went to a strip club. And if they were getting lap dances, they weren't just looking. I agree with the poster who said if you wouldnt want a loved one working there, it's probably not a good place to go. It cheapens everyone involved.
