Is there anything we can do?
I’m not going to argue that we owe her. Lindsay has given us some fascinating
poison over the years, and we have eagerly drunk it. But her infamy has come
just as much from our desire to poke the seething underbelly of celebrity as it
has from her drive to perpetuate her fame at any cost.
I do think we owe it to
ourselves to help craft a better story for Lindsay. Celebrity crash-and-burn is
the gladiator sport of our era—but for all that pathos and viciousness, we need
heroes for balance. And everyone knows that the best kind of hero is the one
that has risen from the ashes.
So here’s my pledge to you,
Lindsay Lohan. When you do something good, I will write about it. Go visit
orphans in non-glamourous locales, spearhead a campaign for recycling, donate
some money to your local education system. Or, start small and tweet your way
through a whole day with grace and gratitude, and I will be there. But please,
please, please, don’t show us your underwear and try to stay away from The
Chateau Marmont for a just little while, okay? Get better…
Define abandoned? Is the media wanna be Gossip press suddenly feeling bad for making so much money of the LotheHo's self destruction?

What you can really do to help her is. Stop writing about her all the time and reporting on every little thing she does. An just leave the girl alone.

Agree Devon. Why doesn't she do something positive. She only cares about herself and her self indulgence.

Could Lilo be a big ZERO !
Posted by: Joh | 08/27/2010 at 08:24 PM
I feel sorry for the girl because of her issues with her family. I think her partying and drinking is a way for her in a way to vent out her emotions instead of actually doing something about it.. But realeasing her? No way.. Jail will do her good and probably make her appreciate whats good in her life. Its a good lesson and plus its not like its a life parole, its three months!Probably just enough for her to get real.

Give me a break ,, there are better ways to vent you emotions , you stupid twit
Posted by: brass | 08/27/2010 at 09:21 PM
It makes me sick to see once again a so-called celebrity not do the time that they were supposed to do. Where do the judges get off by letting them go so early. That's probably what she needs. A real wake-up call. Fed up with the stupidity. Who gives a whoot about the guy in pink shirt. Get real everyone.

another totally pointless piece of inane dribble about a D rated star which the world should just forget about and stop glamourising.
Posted by: dazz | 08/27/2010 at 10:44 PM
who really cares.... she is a selfish, spoiled woman child. We've all got issues past and present just get over it and get over yourself and move on, there are people in the world with real problems and if the public and media focused on their problems perhaps we could work towards helping these people and creating a better world. WOW she went to jail for a little while... at least she isn't begging on the streets or being forced to work 18 hours a day for less than a dollar.

Could Lindsay Lohan be a hero? - Only if she ODs!
Posted by: Don | 08/28/2010 at 12:38 AM
Somebody get that idiot in the pink shirt into some kind of rehab program!
I hope LL can find her a way to a productive life and have fun without destroying herself any further. Maybe staying away from mom and pop would be a good start.
There's poem, I can't remember who wrote it but it goes something along these lines ... "Your mum and dad, they f**k you up" ... does it ever ring true!

Got it ... "This Be The Verse" by Philip Larkin
Kills me every time I read it. So true, and so glad I never had kids!

ibelieve that lindsay has to reach deep with in her self and only she can rise above her obsticles if she has the faith to be a better person and over come every thing ibelieve she will

Lindsay is young and needs help just as anyone does. This can be her BRAND NEW START. She has a whole new life ahead of her and I know she will not waste it!

Could Lindsay Lohan Be a Hero? - she has as much chance to be a hero as much as that clown in the pink has of being straight...

Who the hell cares about this "slash-in-the-pan"...,below average looking psycho....is there still "D" movies for her to go in??? Maybe at best cheap pono and a crack-pipe.
Posted by: G.Wall | 08/28/2010 at 09:37 AM
I wish her well. Karma is a funny thing. Were all going to be caught with our pants down at least once in our lives. How we judge others today is how we will be judged then.
Get well!

i dont care for her at all why did she only get like 10 days in jail when in the court case she got 90 how does that work
Posted by: shane | 08/28/2010 at 11:35 AM
Maybe noone should go to her movies until she straightens herself out. Can't see what's special about her. without two inches of makeup she's a plain jane and with it a plain pain. No talent just money.

What chance does she have with a leech for a mother and i am not too sure about her father. And for the guy in the pink shirt, well, opinions are like assholes, everyone has one and he figures his is the only one that doesn't stink!

You know if that was any one of us, they wouldn't think twice (police) about locking us up for 6 months and getting treatment. I'm tired of theses stars and getting their freedom before they deserve it. This makes me sick to my stomach that she (Lindsay) has been allowed for so long to get away with what she does in breaking the law. Anne

I didn't like the comment about white offenders.I was offended by that.White people seem to be able to have their dignity taken from them but it's not okay to do it to anyone else.Lindsay has problems.Leave her alone. When other people's hour of need comes they want understanding but they don't want to give it.Most people today are self serving and evil. There's no such thing as unconditional love in this world. We're screwed.

There is no doubt that we all receive information overload - Lindsay is a talented actress that has to find the courage to find herself - it is always harder to choose the right path over the highroad - never lose faith!

Back when I was younger, I really thought Lindsay Lohan was my idol and someone that you can look up to. But I guess, some people change for the worse from the cause of depression. I like Lindsay, even now. I know shes having a difficult time going through her issues, but its not fair for others who have it worse! I mean, she gets to leave jail earlier when she was suppoused to be there for longer. 3 months? Big deal, you kept causing commotions everywhere Lindsay dear. =.= its not fair, why do people write about this crap? We should all be writing about real news and not paying attention one ex celebrity.

She is no hero. She just overdosed on fame and if fine long enough the fame fameworld is addicted to the future money the movie and television industries want to make off her if she recovers enough.
