Poor Angelina Jolie. She drops a few sound bites about her kid and they get recycled for weeks (years, in internet time). According to Life&Style, Angelina is (still) a terrible mom for letting Shiloh dress like a boy, but an even worse mom for talking about it. In addition to the usual veiled homophobia and gender role hysteria the tabloids spout every time little Shiloh dons a polo shirt, Life&Style is also claiming that Angelina has been using her daughter to promote Salt. That wouldn’t be so bad, according to Life&Style, if she would use her other kids equally. The magazine interviewed a psychotherapist who indicated that rest of the Brangie brood could be heartbroken to learn that no tabloids are currently speculating on their daring fashion choices.

“It’s important to talk about the kids equally so each child feels equally acknowledged and validated”, said psychotherapist Jenn Berman. Note to Life&Style: you have the power to change this situation. Next time Pax wears a leather jacket, how about a headline that reads “Is Angelina Encouraging Pax to Join a Biker Gang?” Also, I hear Zahara likes to wear black clothes, just like her mom. You could turn her into a disturbed emo goth. And what about the twins? They’re probably doing all sorts of crazy things, like sucking their thumbs (surely a precursor to smoking) and parading around town in…diapers. There’s got to be something there. Angelina might not be spreading the infamy equally, but I know you care, Life&Style, and I think you owe these kids at least a little more effort.

WTF? Why doesn't "psychotherapist Jenn Berman" F*** off and mind her own business. If Angelina talked about ALL her kids, not only would she be talking for HOURS, but then you'd be complaining that she's exploiting her children.

How the hell does this stranger know how Angelinas children are feeling? For all her ignorant mind knows, some of the children may not appreciate being discussed to the media.

From what I've seen, the children always appear happy and well cared for. And if the kid wants to dress like a boy, let her, who are Life&Style to get insecure about a childs clothing?

I know that celebrities are supposed to shut up and take what they get for being famous and let the tabloids write whatever they want about them (I don't agree, but it seems to be what a lot of people think) but when they start talking about celebrities kids they are just going too far. Who cares what this little girl wants to wear? She seems happy and well cared for, it's bad enough that she's photographed everywhere she goes, but now she has to grow up reading about her possible sexual confusion that the "experts" at Life & Style have decided she has. This is garbage, leave Shiloh and all the other celebrity kids alone. Who cares what they wear, what they do, what they say..... they're kids. Their parents are celebrities, they chose a life of fame, chose to be in the spotlight, these kids didn't.

Here we go again with the sexist double standards - if she dresses Shiloh like a boy it's cute and everyone is a bigot for objecting, but those same people would be HORRIFIED if Pax or Maddox came out in a tutu and tiara - then you would be accusing her of turning him into a "fag". Can someone explain why it's ok for a girl to look like a boy but it's a travesty for the opposite to happen? Because no one has come up with a good reason why this is not ok.

Looking like a girl is not about only being dressed in pink, but there is also nothing wrong with her looking feminine. Like it or not society does judge you on the way you look (including you people saying "who cares' you judge too!) and being a kid is hard enough already why make it worse. Dressing SHiloh as a boy does not make her a bad mother, but if Celine can get flak for having her son look like a "girl" with his extra long hair (see! that same old double standard!), than shouldn't the same apply to Angelina?

my granddaughter dressed like her brothers until she was 11 yrs old, now at 13 she's all girl! Means nothing!!! Who cares!

I just wish I was happy and cared for. Maybe then I wouldn't have so much fury.

First of all, what is Life & style? Is it a magazine? Whatever it is, it is simply mere humans doing what mere humans do best--sniping, complaining, whinging, judging, pontificating, denegrating and making assumptions that others will do as you wish. I am sure Angelina Jolie couldn`t care less what is said about her in a magazine, and I can do no less.

If the kids get screwed up it will be because their parents are rarely around, they are raised by nannies, and their mother is a homewrecker who had children only to make her insecure self feel validated and loved.
